Computing Department

Our Vision

All of our students should have excellent provision to ensure they are inspired, confident and have the knowledge and key skills to leave as employable young people.

Computing Department information

At Shavington Academy, Computing lessons take place once a week in Key Stage 3. During Key Stage 3 the pupils learn how to be positive digital citizens, develop their programming skills and learn techniques to be confident in producing creative outcomes using the computer.

We offer two Key Stage 4 subjects. These are GCSE Computer Science and Cambridge Nationals iMedia. Our curriculum is planned to enable Key Stage 3 to build the skills and knowledge they require to achieve in Key Stage 4, regardless of which subject is chosen.
